DRSC kicks off its latest courses

This month we have kicked off our annual Delft Road Safety Course for Low and Middle Income Countries as well as our latest online course on Road Safety Research and Policy Making.

The annual Delft Road Safety Course started on 10 October with participants from 18 countries across all continents of the world. Over the next five weeks they will be joining world-leading lecturers online to cover issues such as road safety management, traffic psychology, vehicle safety, urbanisation and network design and much more.

The course will continue in April in person in Delft, The Netherlands where participants will continue their learning on key issues related to the Safe System Approach, see practical examples, and gain experience in developing and writing road safety strategies.

This month has also seen the launch of our new online course on Road Safety Research and Policy Making. This course is being led by Prof. Attila Borsos of the University of Gyor in Hungary. The main objective is to discuss and share best practices in linking road safety research with policy making in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). It brings together Researchers and Policy Makers together to work as a team to address four key areas of road safety policy making: motorcycle safety; speed management; school zones; and pedestrian safety.
